Fall Wishlist

Fall Wishlist

Ahhh the magical time of year when it is (mostly) acceptable to buy a lot of new clothes at once ;)

I am really trying to get rid of clothes in my closet that I don't wear.  I admit that I hang onto things wayyy too long thinking that "well someday I will wear it".  Usually someday ends up being never and it is sitting there collecting dust. I don't know why but it is so hard to get rid of clothes! Anyone else with me? I recently started selling some of my clothes here if anyone is interested. It is a fun way to make some money and find new treasures!

These are the current trends that I am diggin' - of course you need some quality brown leather boots in your closet.  Mike would say I have too many pairs, but two of the three are falling apart/have a broken(glued) zipper so I feel it is time for new ones :) At least one pair babe!

Red plaid is a classic. Easily worn under a sweater or by itself. I have recently seen camo coming in style being either some skinny jeans or a faded vintage tee. Since I am from Oklahoma I can completely justify it haha. I am not a redneck by any means but I do love a little bit of camo.

Black leather jacket - classic as well. Can be edgy or dressed down. I have a brown one, but I am on the hunt for a nice black one.  Currently loving all things polka dot - I definitely need these jeans. I think they are cute and feminine!
And of course you can't forget the accessories! I am obsessed with big necklaces.

While I do love summer ( a lot!) I am excited for school to start and fall to be here. New clothes, new pencils, new notebooks - all a great way to start off the new school year! And as this will be my last 'new' school year I am looking forward to it.

Scenes from the Weekend

Brad Paisley + the lake makes for a good weekend!

For a first anniversary present, I bought two tickets to Brad Paisley for Mike & I. We had impatiently been waiting for this friday to come. I flipping love country music and it was such a blast. Well, minus all the completely wasted people and the stench of beer. Lee Brice, Chris Young, and of course Brad Paisley put on one amazing show. Brad signed and gave away his guitar to this little girl down in front who was completely shocked and barely could move when he tried to give it to her haha.

It was so fun to enjoy our favorite music outside in the beautiful weather!

Saturday we went to the lake with the in-laws. There were only 100+ other people on the lake who had the same idea we did. With the water being down like 30ft plus way too many boaters it was actually kind of scary. But, of course we had fun anyway. Mike finally did what he has dreamed about doing since his mission....skiing in his old mission suit! Every boat we passed just stopped and stared. Haha I would have too...he looked a little ridiculous!

Now.....time for an analogy. Jetskiiers are like bikers. Annoying, always in the way, and never follow any sort of common traffic rules. Bikers in Provo are seriously getting out of hand. Mike is rolling his eyes right now because I have told him this one thousand times, but it is true! I don't know what it is but bikers around here think they are in their own special class. They do not stop at stop signs - they just blow through them hoping a car (that is much larger than you and could kill you) doesn't run them over. Stop lights are completely irrelevant because, hey, i'm on a bike fools! Also, bikers loooove to ride either in the middle of the street (instead of the bike lane) or mainly just all over the road. If a biker feels like coming out into the road you better watch out because they are bigger than you and have all rights to do so...... they usually raise a fist to you when you honk so you don't flipping run them over.

Jetskiiers are the same. They get way too close to the boat so that they can get some 'good waves'. Um, I don't care - you are gonna kill someone. At the lake on Saturday, a jetskiier almost sideswiped our boat because they are just like bikers with no common courtesy.

Just follow the rules and everyone is happy. Is that really that hard?
End rant.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

xoxo, Ally
